Petrified Wood is also known as Fossilized Wood or Agatized Wood, forms when a tree dies and silicon dioxide forms in place of the wood that degrades until there is no wood left, only Quartz. This is a wonderful healing stone for both physical and emotional energies. It teaches us patience and helps us to let life take its natural course instead of forcing things into place.
